BodyBuilding.com Stealing Commissions In CJ?

I was reading on the forums and read something interesting and really want to post it here so this can be solved as soon as possible. It seems that affiliates of BodyBuilding.com in CJ have been reversed their commissions for Ferbruary.

This just happened to me tonight on cj for my february sales for bodybuilding.com

Is that what you are with? Based on your signature I assume so. I had over a dozen transactions zeroed out for bodybuilding.com. I don’t know why. are they quitting cj or something? They still have the application page on their site. Im contacting cj about it.

This poster is not the only one having this problem:

I’ve heard similar stories about different advertisers on CJ. Most of the advertisers are fine but some have a track record of reversing sales / leads without good reason. It’s not CJ though. Contact your advertiser directly (bodybuilding.com?) and ask them why your sales were reversed

Yes, I had the same problem a year ago with webhostingpad. After having this problem the affiliate manager have changed but again the same problem so I quit promoting them, and I really advice you to not promote webhostingpad.

I have the same issue. All of my BB transactions from February have been reversed 1 by 1 in the last day. They’re from different ads, on different days, so there’s no way they’re all reversed, where the previous month there was about the same number of sales with no reversals.

A friend of mine had all his commissions zeroed out as well, except he says they just disappeared instead.

This is outrageous. CJ was no help so far, they told me to take it up with bodybuilding via their internal mail, which I did. No response yet.

BTW, the reason for reversal is listed as “Other”. Sounds like a bunch of bs or a fat error.

CJ, will not help anyone in this issue, I am telling you from experience and that’s a very bad point. Don’t get me wrong I have been with CJ since I started affiliate marketing, few issues there and here but nothing critical, and I know if I have a problem with an affiliate I have to contact the affiliate manager directly because you are alone in this game and that should NOT be like this.

To see why sale or lead was cancelled by the advertiser, find the transaction in your CJ Account Managerâ„¢. You can search by day, week, month or another specific date range by going to:

* Run Reports > Transaction Reports > Report Options

Select Commission Detail from the Select Report Type drop-down menu. Choose a date range or any of the other sorting and filtering options and then click Generate Report.

An adjusted (partial correction) or reversed (full correction) transaction will be obvious when you see the Corrected column populated with an amount in Red. Click on the link that appears at the far right of the line item that says Detail.

wow
every sale i made in febuary is now gone!

End of the story, many affiliates have emailed the CEO of Bodybuilding.com and waiting their response. It seems that the affiliate manager went out and the person who is instead of the affiliate manager messed up. Hopefully everything will be back. Someone lost with bodybuilding.com more than $2,000 and that’s not cool.

If you have the same issue with cj please comment here your issue. We can’t allow this type of issues like many other issues.

Sounds like the new guy messed up. I’d say do more than just Email, a phone call would be in order. However until they gave a response to the problem and how then intend to remedy it, its not really fair to lash out against them.

We at Bodybuilding.com truly value and appreciate all of our affiliates. We always have and always will treat them like part of the team. Unfortunately, errors do happen and that is the case in this situation. Our monthly report unfortunately set all extended orders (all unapproved and international orders are extended) to be reversed. This is an easy situation to be remedied and is being done so as we speak. We appreciate all Bodybuilding.com Affiliate’s patience in this matter, and even though this is the first time such an error has taken place, we are putting measures in place to make sure this will be the one and only time. Thanks again.

Bodybuilding is a wonderful company and they do pay every month! With out CJ I would be lost, they are a wonderful company who provides a great service and it is NOT Cj’s issue if a merchant makes a mistake. We as affiliates have to be on top of things so if you yea you affiliate….ever see tons of reversals from one company get on the ball and start contacting the company NOT CJ.
For the haters out there, you are spiteful because there are those of us who do things right, if you got banned from CJ then what did you do wrong? Getting caught sucks and it always feels better to blame them than to blame yourself.
Enough for now, everyone in affiliate land take care and watch it I am YOUR competition.

Bodybuilding.com steals from affiliates all the time. Its unfortunate that google is so kind to a site run by criminals. Without the google ranking bodybuilding.com would be dead.

Yes, this happened to me too. When I e-mailed CJ.com, they were pleasant, helpful, and quick to acknowledge this was an obvious glitch of some kind. No complaints for the BB.com either… they were quick to address my concerns, and all my reversed commissions were re-attributed to my account, and no real damage was done.
