There are many people that supposed received an email from Google Adwords saying that their account has been disable. Checkout:

Dear advertiser,

We are writing to let you know that your Google AdWords account has been disabled due to one or more serious violations of our advertising policies related to Landing Page and Site Quality. As a result, your ads will no longer run through the Google AdWords system and we are unable to accept advertising from you in the future. Please note that future accounts you open will also be disabled.

As part of our commitment to making the AdWords experience safe and effective for our users and our advertisers, we routinely review the landing pages that our advertisers promote through our search and content networks. If we find that an advertiser has submitted a landing page that egregiously violates our policies, we reserve the right to take immediate account-level action.

Landing pages advertised via AdWords must have relevant, original content, and must be transparent about the nature of the business being promoted. Further, advertising certain types of sites will lead to immediate account disabling. These types of sites include, but are not limited to:

* Sites that charge users or collect personal information in exchange for a product that is never delivered
* Sites that charge for “free” software
* Sites that trick users into paying for fake or poor-quality content
* Sites that charge users for information that makes unrealistic promises of financial or personal gain
* Sites that install malware software on a visitor’s computer

Please note that this action is related to sites that have recently been advertised through your account. In a review of your account history, we found that your account had submitted a least one site that egregiously violated our advertising policies. Although you may have removed these sites since our latest review, advertisers that have a history of promoting these types of sites are still subject to account-level disabling.

If you have additional questions or concerns not addressed by our policies or help center, you can contact support by replying to this email.

Sincerely,

The Google AdWords team

I will recommend to check your account before doing anything else. But unfortunetly, the Google adwords banning wave still going on:

An Early Holiday Gift from Google

On behalf of my wife and children we would like to thank you. After over a half dozen years and many MILLIONS spent in advertising you banned us. We had advertised many affiliate programs through the years. All legitimate products, in fact you approved the ads and worked with us in advertising them. Then one day you didn’t like those products anymore. We eliminated any questionable products including those that were downgraded to a QS of 1. That apparently still was not enough. We received no explanation as to why we were banned, we received no warning (it was supposedly sent to an old email account despite you having all my current ones) and best of all there is no appeal process. I have never seen such brutal, harsh and completely heartless tactics. Thank you for absolutely destroying our holiday season.

Just got this lovely present from Google in my email tonight as well. I’m in shock. Deleted anything from my account that I thought might even remotely be considered ‘bad quality’ months ago and kept a close eye on it since just in case. All for not it seems. 5 years of advertising without an issue apparently means nothing.

I guess maybe I shouldn’t be doing business with a company that treats it’s faithful customers like this anyway but this is a tough one to swallow

I got the exact same letter in my gmail account today too…i logged into my adwords account and no sign of anything being disabled…i didn’t delete all my campaigns just for good measure…

I received it too. I disabled all of my campaigns about 6-8 months ago. I haven’t been using it since and then in December I received my email. I could still log into my account and set up a campaign without any indication of the ban, but the ad that I tried setting up never changed from pending after an entire week.

I admit, all of my campaigns may have not been the best, but you have to learn some how. I never advertised anything I felt was sneaky or scammy though.

    Take Care – Heidi
