My key to the success I’ve had so far is top quality content. Most of that content is based on things you buy or do offline. There’s no fluff like a lot of the stuff you see in some article directories, there’s no scraped content.

Another factor is SEO. Most of my pages rank fairly high in the SERPS for 2, 3, 4+ word terms that don’t get a lot of searches per month, but I have so many pages that it adds up.

I read about and test different ad unit optimization techniques and optimize based on the results, etc. I’ve seen huge increases in CTR and ECPM as a result.

But the most important thing IMO is the content you publish. It it’s A1 you get A1 visitors from search engines, A1 links from A1 sites, A1 adsense ads showing up on your pages and A1 earnings as a result.

Oh, and another major contributing factor is Coffee. If it weren’t for that, I’d probably be flippin’ burgers right now

< -> I suggest you go to the Adsense forum and read about 40-50 threads there and come back and report on them. You learn a great deal. There really is a wealth (literally) of information there.
