Has anyone else noticed that blogger.com has a section that says
“Make Money - Use Adsense to make money with your Blog”
Does anyone know the level of standards that this has and whether the adsense account can be used outside of Blogger?
- With Adsense, once you have been accepted into the program you can add banners to any of your sites - provided the sites (and your actions) comply with the TOS.
As to what minimum standards they require to acccept you on your first site - who knows!
- If I remember correctly, when I signed up about 2 yrs ago, Adsense required that the website have it’s own domain and not be a sub-domain or free type page. Have they lowered this standard since then? I don’t see this as a good thing, but who knows?
- But I dont think its a easy way to get into adsense, try it signup an account you will see Adsese ads on your Blog but wont be able to sigin into adsense.
- AdSense standards for allowing sites are not high. Don’t think that you need a “professional looking” site to get approved–you don’t. A basic site, as long as it’s not in one of the prohibited subject areas, will always get approved. I’ve gotten dozens of people to submit their mediocre sites and they’ve gotten an AdSense account within 24 hours.
- If you sign up using the Blogger method, you can still place the AdSense code on your other sites. However, your other sites still need to comply with AdSense program policies (http://google.com/adsense/policies).
When you first start running the AdSense code on any site, we quickly find the new site, crawl it, and begin serving ads. We also regularly monitor all sites running the AdSense code to ensure they comply with our policies.
