Is FF more popular among a certain demographic or is it just gaining popularity slowly?

When i was checking analytics i noticed under browsers that FF was still only 15 % compared to IE at 80 %. I expected FF to be a lot more popular by now, just wondering what others are experiencing.

The answer of this question it depends in many facotrs. For example, googlelady has 40% firefox readers which I am proud because firexfox is the best browser till now. Their security is one of the best (in my opinion) the usability is much better than Internet explorer.

In my opinion the factors are the following:
- Depends on your niche, you will receive a higher amount of firefox readers
- A lot of people still don’t know about firefox
- A lot of people don’t know how to download and install so they use what windows came for. Internet explorer is the default browser of windows.
- I have recommended firefox to some friends and they are afraid about to use “new” things. Some friends on the contrary are in love with firefox and they just now use firefox.
- Not everyone is that computer savvy when it comes to updates

Still using Internet explorer? It’s time to change for a better browser and believe me the best one (Warning firefox is addictive) ;)

If you are a techie, you should definitely be using FireFox. I couldn’t do my job nearly as efficienty w/o FireFox because of all the plugins that are available for FireFox.

Firefox is pretty fast but for surfing I really think Opera is fantastic. So speedy and I love the shortcut to Google (type g and the search term).
