I would like to post here a discussion in Webmasterworld.com

Just a rant ;~)I am beginning to wonder if adsense is even worth bothering with any more. I mean what’s the point of expending hours of effort only to get clicks worth .01-.09 cents? I know in my case the hours would have been better spent making money another way. I don’t depend on adsense for my income, but it certainly has not been worth the effort put into it tweaking pages, removing non performing pages, adding pages of new content etc…. for what I get out of it per page.

* Yes, that is a very low figure you’re describing. I would be depressed with those numbers. Do your pages mention products at all?

*Some look for higher paying clicks, I seek more traffic.
Getting $100/day is as simple as 1,000 clicks @ $0.10 ea.

*There are clicks around at $1 a time, youve just got to look for them

*
Quit tweaking and start getting your site known.

Submit everywhere you can, ask for link trades or back links, etc. Remember with 1 link to a website that is #1 ahead of you is you, going piggyback to the top. More clicks to your site that way and if X sees that Y, a presumably popular site, lists you then others will link to you without asking. Put a bookmark this site/make it your homepage script on your page…don’t be shy, all’s fair as long as you keep it ethical…..try to become a household word. How?

Someone posted, I’m sure jokingly, to aim for pregnant women with broadband. Lots of forums out there about all types of subjects to join and actually participate in plus most will allow links.

You can figure out the best type of individual to aim for, the above was just a ‘for instance’.

Good luck,

Ann

* My sites average about 9ยข per click, but you know what? I don’t sweat it. Like the others here have mentioned, go for traffic and constant site improvements. I don’t sell any products directly, so I look at every penny that comes in as nearly pure profit. I don’t buy traffic and my only overhead that I wouldn’t have anyway is the low monthly hosting fees and the one-time domain registration fees. Get links from related sites… never stop. The more you get and the more relevant the sites they’re from, the more traffic you’ll see over time. It’s not rocket science.

* I have been getting about 15 cents per click. Sometimes more on weekends.

* It’s also possible that google never intended the adsense model to be a replacement for your day job!

* What is wrong with .01 to .02 cents a click….

10 clicks thats 20c that comes in at $73 for the year.

Pays for your hosting, aim for 20 clicks and then you are in the profit.

* I wish all the people who make those made for adsense scraper sites felt like that and stopped making make for adsense scraper sites.
