Very very low CTR on International sites

There have been many discussions on why in international sites (Arabic, spanish, deutch, etc..) has a very low CTR in google adsense. There are many reasons for that.

If you are running adsense in a forum you will get a low CTR google adsense and forums are not the best friends

If you are in a niche where there is not a lot of international advertisers

You may also want to analyze traffic sources. Is it organic or mainly referrals? What kind of sites refer to your site? Do you buy some traffic? It could be Google is treating a lot of clicks as invalid, leading to lower average CPC. Use channels, verify if you have $0 clicks.Not sure why war in Iraq was previously mentioned, but if your site is “war related” then public service ads may be served on some (or most) pages. This would explain why you would have low ctr.

Using adsense doesn’t work for all niches sites, blogs and forums. You have to make a research on your niche and see if there are many advertisers in your niche. You can search for your niche with your language and see how many adwords advertisers are in there if there are a lot of “ads” you may do well. If not, try to use another contextual advertising other than adsense. A good choice at the moment is Bidvertiser.
