Adengage An Unprofessional Company

I don’t know how many of you know about Adengage. But is a comapny that works like Adbrite. You open a free account with them and then you can instantly sell advertising in your site and you will earn per click with their Ad networks (they called RON).

Why choosing a company that is not well known?

  • They have many payment methods for publisher and one of them is Western Union, so is cash and no waiting for checks to hit you account
  • 75% of the earnings to publisher.
  • Their Photo ad is a great tool in my opinion and this can increase your CTR. Advertisers can add any picture besides your title campaign. But publishers can also disable this and add an arrow like I did.
  • You choose the price of your advertising and the unique thing that they give an offer for those advertisers that buy for more than one week.
  • So I decided to go with them and test them out. I had this account since 2005 and they paid me once then they improved their system I said to my self let’s get them a chance here.

Some dissapointed points since I added Adengage here

    1. I added not to be shown the pictures but just arrows. When I refresh the ads changed automatically to show images, bigger fonts, etc.. Just a mess. I emailed them and after 5 business days I got an answer asking me for more info about this (more waste time). After some email exchanges, it seems that is a bug in their system.

    2. They promised that the statistics will be shown after 2 business days, have been 5 business days and no statistics. No clicks? I will show you (thanks to mybloglog statistics):

Some clicks (for security issues I will not show all the statistics):

    adengage

Finally after 5 business days I got an answer:

Thanks for the email. Because you have chosen not to allow targeted CPC (RON) ads, you will not recieve any clicks. Currently, you are only running default ads, but are listed in the directory…

Wow so I am giving free traffic to those advertisers and getting 0% profits from that? That is really a joke and that really pissed me off. Yes I choosed to not allow what they called “Targeted CPC” but also not running ANY ads. Who will give free traffic from a advertising network? LOL NO ONE!

Then I replied telling what I wrote here, I don’t give free traffic to advertiser and adengage is getting 100% of the profits. I just give free traffic to my readers commentators (from Top commentator plugin and the links that commentators add). So is this the way they make some extra money? This is just an abuse to their publishers. They don’t know that if there is no publishers there is NO ADENGAGE.

After 5 business days they answered and decided to test their pay per click program and see how much I can make per click. But it didn’t surprised me, after 2 days the statistics are the same $0.

    3. What they called targeted CPC, it looks like this:

    adengage

and my configurations to NOT SHOWING ads:

    adengage

as you can see I have disabled the MUSIC & RADIO category and see the Ads running here ” Do you like live Music? ” isn’t that for Music & Radio? I guess yes. What about this AD “Didn’t get that present” it goes to HotGiftZone, which is something for gift cards did I disable the Coupon and Freebies section? YES. Their CPC “targeted” ads are just waste of time. That is really dissapointed to see from a company where their industry is so competetive and they need to be better than others.

I emailed them about this, and they said that after my decision to allow pay per click into my account I will receive targeted ads, after 2 days checking them there is no “targeted ads”, just a bunch of links that are not related to my blog.

Thanks for the email. I understand about the network ads, but we have no way for the ads to disappear if the targeted CPC (RON) ads are not activated. I have now activated that feed, and you will be receiving targeted CPC (RON) ads. As far as the ad code, it appears that it is working correctly and looks similar to the get ad code page (the color is different). Please make sure that the code on the site matches…

This was the last email that they sent about the whole issue and that was on September 19, 2007. Anyways, I thought to give them another chance but it seems that they are J/K and not taking publishers seriously (the same problem the same statistics..). I have removed Adengage from Googlelady.com and decided to sell direct featured ads. You can check advertising packages.

I used adengage for abit when I launched one of my sites…

I have no problem with the network ads, only they charge alot more then what they pay you for them…

      eg.

US click on run of network they charge 0.09c but only pay the site owner 0.01c

seems like a bit of a rip off and also a slap in the face for those of us publishing the ads…

Also there seems to be a lot of sites where the majority of there traffic is chinese proxies… which is very unproductive traffic… I spent a couple of thousand and seen very little results, I got traffic, but it was just plain unproductive crap

If you want to throw your money away, use adengage…
