A Tip to Increase your Adsense Earnings by 10%
October 5, 2007
Here is a tip for all adsense lovers, there have been many case studies about this tip and it seems that works very well. Some people stated that they doubled their adsense earnings but in my case there was 10% of the increase.
- Go to your channels
- Turn off all the page targeting channels so that the ad buyers could not target specific pages on a site. This seems to have shocked AdSense into giving a better Cost Per Click rating.
This tip depends on the how many visitors you got in your site/blog. If you site gets from 0-10,000 pageviews per month it will work perfect. I am an adwords advertiser and “sometimes” I use site targetting depends if I find a good blog about my niche, then I check if the site has low pageviews (because adwords site targetting works per impression. CPM) I buy some CPM from there (for example, the maximum pageviews from that site) and my ad will be there. It can affect a lot of adsense publishers that have low pageviews/traffic on their site, because your CPM will be as little as $0.05 to $0.1 for 1,000 impressions. Do you think that is worth earning this amount per 1000 impression? No. I prefer to get paid per click when some adwords advertisers turns on the content network or forget to bid specific amount on the content network.
P.S: Test this tip and let me know if it worked with you, let it run for one month and check if you see any change.

I don’t like to use Adsense to make a little extra but affiliate program
Here is something you can do though if you want to use adsense effectively.
When you see an Adsense with the “advertise here” text on there, click it and put your ads there if you use Adword. Good way to get clicks to your site.

I am the original guy that this article is quoting (without quote marks, and without my name) … anyway, turn off your channel targeting and just the act of turning it off shocks adsense into giving a better payout for clicks. Then after it calms back down, shock it again by turning the targeting back on, and this will increase your click payout once again.

I have been seeing slower increases in revenue lately.
I’ll give this tip a shot and see how it goes. Thanks.

If you’re site is receiving under 10k pageviews it’s going to take a very long time to get the $100 needed to cash out.
My site was getting approx. 8k pv’s and was making about $10/mo (before I was kicked out). I currently use Kontera for text links and make a sweet amount through that. Adsense is great for larger blogs though.

Adam with this blog Kontera didn’t work, as you can see depends on the niche some programs works. The best way to know is testing.
