MSN Adcenter: Funny and Wierd Things

There are many funny things that you can come when you are working online. MSN Adcenter has (to me) a funny and wired things about allowing and not allowing some keywords in their PPC program.

AdCenter Disallows The Price of “$69.69″ : This is really wierd if you as an affiliate marketer advertise a product that cost $69.69 you are not allowed to add this little number to their system. The only cause I can think is because the Kamasutra position “69″. But don’t you think that is funny because there are tons of products with that price? Is really wierd!

The Word Bank: I have a client who has the word “Bank” in their name. It’s also part of their display url, destination url, and a good portion of their keywords. adCenter would not allow me to create a login id with the word “bank” in it, despite the fact that I have a system for creating user accounts such that I always will know which one to use for which client in which provider (obviously with different passwords) I emailed them, called them – nobody could give me an answer WHY the string “bank” was disallowed, but nobody could fix it either. To this day I still have to look up the damn user name every time I want to log on to the adCenter for that client.

Adult Film Star Names: If you are promoting a product which the author has a name of an adult film star name you will not get approved.

Anyone tried the 13 number? May be is dissallowed because is an unlucky number? :D If you have another keyword that is not allowed let me know (comment here). But please some wierd things not the usual ones ;)
