100 pages in 100 days - is this ok?

There are a lot of targeted keyword phrases (3 to 4 words)which are not high traffic generators. I will be adding a 100 pages to my site, optimizing one page per kw phrase. Obviously the body text needs to be a bit different on each page.

1. Is this acceptable practice instead of having 2 to 3 kw phrases per page?

This is fine the more Unique content that you have, you will be ranked better.

2. is this practice considered spam?

Only if the pages are very much the same except for your key phrases. Some affiliate marketers do this method to create landing page, they make the same content with different Headlines or different keywords and done. This is considering spam and duplicate content. Search engines algorithm nowadays are more “wise” than before.

3. will site traffic increase?

Possibly; definitely if the content is unique, original, relevant to your key phrases and interesting, also you have the opportunity to get natural backlinks from other sites that found it interesting.

4. am I wasting my time doing this?

If you follow the previous answers and you are doing in a good way to create unique content, You are not wasting your time. But if you are just targetting keywords in search engine and not care about the readers of your site, you are definitevely wasting your time and not just that but also your bandwitdh and efforts. The best SEO is to write to a human and not to search engines.
