After this came official the Google vs Paid Links The War Continues many webmasters start asking if affiliate links would affect your site or not. There are many answers about it some people believe that it will not affect because they are “good” neighbourhood, some still believe that this will affect. Let’s be in the middle and neutral and see how can we prevent this:

Everything is related to each new announcement and penalty in Google, first they applied the Quality Score and affiliate marketers started to think that Google wants to end the Affiliate marketing, then it came this war. But let’s think a second about this issue, how could possible Googlelady relate Quality score with this war? Ok, when Google says that they want unique content while you promote your affiliate links and not only put affiliate links to try to sell. This can be related, if your site/blog has a lot of useless information and a bunch of affiliate links just to sell. You can be affected by this war.

When you are adding affiliate links into your site/blog, use the nofollow tag on each of your affiliate links.

If you are a publisher in Comission Juction try to use always the “javascript” code instead of “html”. Spiders will not follow the javascript links.

When you are promoting an affiliate link try to write unique content about the product/service that you are promoting. If you have a good eye and check many other blogs you can see how they promote them.
