I got this idea, to make everytime a case study about any niche and see how they are promoting each payday loan product with their respect landing pages. The good and the bad of each landing page, I am not expert but if you are an expert in certain niche that is in the case study please share your ideas, suggestions and opinions about it. Let’s create a place where we can help each other. For today, the case study is for PaydayLoan niche. This niche is really competitive with more than 60 adwords advertisers, so if you are thinking to advertise in this high competitive niche you have to come with something unique.

Good Landing pages examples:

Here are some good landing pages examples, but still a lot of problems and will be discussed in this post, Look at them and think what is wrong with those landing pages:

payday loan

Let’s see what is common on those lading pages:
- A good Looking header, with always a person looking at the visitor.
- Something attractive for those searching for payday loans: “$1500..”
- Testinmonials on the left side in a good looking box.
- A form is like a call action “apply now”.
- Big words usually images, so people can instantly notice.

Also noticed that all those landing pages have something in common in the footer: a little message:

payday loan

What is wrong with those landing pages?

- Researching about it, as a user I really got bored about the same type of design the same call action the samething. Nothing new neither unique.
- No information, you need to sign up to this form to get information. Usually users that are searching for payday loans they want something direct and not registering to get information. How someone can give those kind of information “Aba account number, First name, last name, zip code, SNN…” to a site that is not well-known and it just have a one page (which is the landing page) and not a company site.

Those landing pages are good but you need to do something unique, how many people will see the same form, the same message, the same type landing page and not get suspicious? Think out of the box, do your research on how people think when they are searching for payday loans.

Bad Landing pages examples:

paydayloan

This is a good example of what google will give a “poor” score. Just pure image landing page. Remember now, Google will focuss on your landing page data/information. Images are not sufficient for the bots.

paydayloan

This is an example of a lot of information landing page but there are two main problems: No Images to attract the eye of the visitor and words too small (I got a headeache when I was reading this landing page).

paydayloan

This example is really a very bad landing page. There are just a pure white background, with just text ads. Just too poor. Ctrl + Alt + delete.

paydayloan

Too many information, small words, too many options to the visitor to click. I really looked at it for 20 seconds and I lost on where I should click to get the information that I want.

Hope this can help to guide you on how to make a good landing page. Just remember always test your landing pages. If you have an opinion, suggestion or anything to share Comment here and let’s try to get ideas on how to build a good landing page on this niche. Till the next niche.
