Make Money Online Starting with Less than $70
November 3, 2007
When you check many blogs and read that they are making money online, you want to start to do the same no? There is nothing wrong doing “the same” making money online, but what is wrong is trying to be one of the bloggers and writting the samething always. Here are steps to start making money online with less than $100.
Choose your Blog Niche
For me, that is the most difficult part when openning a new blog and see what niche to choose. Keep in mind when you are in this stage, choose a niche that you love to write about. Something that you are really interested but do not open a niche that your favorite blogger has.
Domain Names and Hosting
You studied and planned about which niche you want to open, now is time to find the best Hosting and Domain name for your blog.
Domain Names: When you are in this stage you have to be creative and unique about which domain name you have to buy for your blog. The price for the domain names nowadays have been increased, but you can check some coupon codes for GoDaddy: Godaddy Coupon Codes and check always Googlelady I will update always with a new coupon code for GoDaddy.
Price to spend: $7 to $8 (Using Godaddy Coupon Codes)
Hosting: There are Billions of hosting companies that you can go with. But Here is quick list with its respective coupon codes:
- 1. Godaddy You can get godady hosting coupon codes for $20 OFF. Godaddy hosting is good if you are a starter, there are many hosting packages with them as well.
- Hostgator: There is a coupon code where you can get your first month for free (exactly $0.01) so you will not loose anything. A recommendation is to register a domain with different registrar and buy from Hostgator the hosting account only. If you are not happy with hostgator you can change their hosting easily without transfering from hostgator to another registrar (is a pain!).
- Dotster: You can get a dotster hosting account for $5.25 and not just that but also you can get 5 free domain names. Dotster gave to Googlelady’s readers an exclusive coupon code where you can get 15% as well
- 1and1 Coupon Code I don’t know much about this hosting company because didn’t test it, but in case you want some coupon codes from 1&1 go there.
- Top 5 Web hosting Here is a small top 5 webhosting
I will show you a step-by-step tutorial on how you register a hosting account with Godaddy (Following this steps you can get a big hosting account for $55 for a full year):
Step 1: Go to GoDaddy.com Hosting Plans
Step 2: Those plans will be shown when you click on the link:

To be able to get the $20 off we will select the deluxe plan for 12 months: 100 GB space, 1000 GB Transfer and the most important thing that you get free vouchers to advertise in Google and Yahoo for free.
Step 3: When you are in the shopping cart:

and then where it says “enter the promo code” enter the following coupon code to be able to get the $20 OFF: GLE100307

Step 4: Pay by credit card or any other payment method that godaddy offers and you are done.
Start writting in your blog
Now that you have your blog installed and running with your own domain, start writting in your blog and fill it with Unique content from your blog niche.
Traffic
Here is the time to get traffic/ readers to your blog, there are many articles that I wrote in the past that can help you a little bit to start with: Tips to Get indexed in Google in 1 Day but also remember that when you order from Godaddy you have 2 free vouchers, one for Yahoo and one for Google. Use them and get free traffic with those vouchers. Remember that if you surpass the voucher credit you will be billed for it. So set a limit to your budget. For example: you got $25 of free adwords make this calculations: 25/30 (days of the month)= Daily budget. The last tip read Googlelady.com for free tips on how to get traffic.
Monetize your Blog
Now that you are getting traffic to your site is time to monetize your blog. There are many affiliate programs and programs that you get paid for blogging. Here are some list of the best and well-known programs that you can monetize your blog:
Affiliate programs & Networks
Contextual Advertising Programs
If you follow these steps you will spend less than $70 USD to start building your blog to make money online.
Note: This is a very basic tutorial on how to make money online with blogs.

Great tips for bloggers wannabes. I don’t understand why people just don’t want to go for their own domain or host a blog themselves even though the expenses can be set off within one year.
For me, I don’t think starting a first blog is so difficult as branching out to more blogs or to take up more blogs under your portfolio. For an example, you can’t be commenting using multiple names, e-mails and URLs unless you are very energetic.
I have this kind of feeling because I am starting to find that I have put in a lot of effort in my primary blogs and starting to leave the others out.

Wayne, that is normal. I did the same and is really time-consuming having more than one blog original and unique content.

Great recommendations. Personally, I’d stay away from 1and1. We had problems with them (technical and service) and had to move to a new host.

I can vouch for Hostgator as they are one of the webhosting companies that I use. I use their shared hosting plan for smaller sites and have been happy with their uptime and tech support. If you want to host less than 10 relatively small sites, the Baby Gator package is a good choice. When your sites grow larger, you can then always switch to a different package - grow as your sites grow.

Something else to consider with GoDaddy - If you are willing to buy a years worth of hosting or more at one go, give them a call before you just fill out the form online.
I had looked online and was ready to buy but had to call them about something else and actually got a better deal from the guy on the phone than I would have if I had purchased it online.
