Sitemap Generator is my last plugin and I was searching for something similar that generates sitemaps in HTML. This is a brief description for the main site of sitemap generator plugin:

This plugin creates a sitemap for your WordPress powered site. This is not just another XML sitemap plugin, but rather a true sitemap generator which is highly customizable from its own options page in the WordPress admin panel. Some of its features include: support for multi-level categories and pages, category/page exclusion, multiple-page generation with navigation, permalink support, choose what to display, what order to list items in, show comment counts and/or post dates, and much more. To see this plugin in action, visit my sitemap page.

I really like this plugin because the “Top Posts” I was making them manually and was really difficult to me because it eat my time doing it. With Sitemap Generator plugin for wordpress it took me less than 1 minute to create something similar, but in this case is not longet top posts but all the posts that have been posted in Googlelady.

This plugin supports many languages: English, Albanian, Brazilian-Portuguese, Bulgarian, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Slovene, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish. The language file contains not only the text shown on the sitemap page, but all of the text in the options page as well.

Installation

The Installation is just simple. This is the procedure:
Download dd-sitemap-gen.zip and uncompress
Upload the entire dd-sitemap-gen folder (not just the files inside) to your plugins directory
Activate the plugin in your administration panel
Configure the plugin in the options panel (under DDSitemapGen)
If using permalinks, read the permalink section below
Simply add the following line to a WordPress page (where you would like the sitemap to display): !– ddsitemapgen — (add the < and >)

SEO Tip:

When you are configuring this little plugin in the admin panel, add a limit of 50 or less. So spiders will not consider spam with full links only. This plugin I really installed for the benefits of my readers and not taking into consideration SEO here, there still something that is not clear if any search engine bot will consider the page as spam or not, because is full of links (only) so is better to prevent and add just 50 or less links. Let’s see if this can be for good or bad to googlelady.

I am using Google Sitemap Generator for my sitemaps but I do have a Archive page which is full of links as your sitemap page.

This post of yours tipped me one thing, my archive page is a page full of links and might get penalised. Maybe I should do something with it then.

Wayne, in the coming days “wordpres of seo” will be published. But at the moment, as you can see I disabled the archive pages on Googlelady.
