there is no question this is all illegal, and there is new Bill in Congress that revolves around the " facilitation of copyright infringement " and will allow the Fed's to go after the up-loaders and Down-loaders.

I was interested in a good movie site, tried divcrawler(free password available on google) - however its illegal as it gives you membership to Kickass torrents.
Graboid is obviously illegal - although mentioned before they cannot be prosecuted...blah blah fishpaste. A bit of good news, I think I will pull a graboid trick, by selling you other illegal materials - I know of a MR Smith who has hacked Graboid, and they have not stopped this - I thing he calls it a workaround. I havent used it, but I have a question, could Graboid prosecute someone for doing this? - kinda stinks of hypocracy if they could lol.

If anyone wants to know the inner workings, it is effectively a frontend to downloading usenet files. So the content doesnt come from them, they just provide the ability to search and download them themselves (but they or there provider probably does cache them to facilitate a larger database of available video).

I've been a graboid user for close to 2 years. I've had very few problems with bad videos and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I've had Graboid for 2 years now, and I pay 14.99 for the silver membership. Several computers in my house access the same account and my household has yet to have any real problems with the company they weren't willing to fix. They have answered emails promptly and have given me back bandwidth when a large file did not work and could not be cleaned up for viewing.

If you get a Paypal business debit card, KB (I work for myself so this is convenient) you can use the debit card for the more expensive memberships other than a credit card or bank debit card. Some content is OBVIOUSLY illegal, but that's not my bag. I am in the wrong for looking at it but I'm too lazy and too cheap to go to the movies, and most times it's good quality. I'm not saying it's right, but it is what it is. And it's more convenient than usenet. The fee is worth the convenience and 3 people at my house share the same account. So say whatever you want Nay sayers, I like Graboid and am keeping it.

Why do people say it is a scam? I have been using it for about three years and I think it's great. I have use the torrent servers for as long and believe me, they're a hassle compared to Graboid. It's so easy to find and download. The movies are tagged with quality ratings but the detail is not always there as used to be. Hopefull someone at Graboid will read this and put back the features that used to be there. You used to be able to search movies or tv shows or whatever by Genre. You could search only sci-fi movies if you wanted, for example. Also I have noticed lately that the source information seldom seems to be there; especially for lower-quality videos like cam movies. I guess they don't want you to know how much low-quality content they have. They say you can stream to try the quality but you are charged for the bandwidth. To be fair they should credit you back used bandwidth if you abandon the streaming session before, say, five minutes passes. That way you can evaluate the quality and not lose any bandwidth if the movie is too crappy.

I have had Graboid before and both my husband and I have had accounts but I am not renewing this month. I could only get $4.99 silver membership so I was limited to 2000 mb or under and no HD. I found that everything I was downloading was no longer available to me because the links were all HD and over 2000. Even a Barbie movie was HD 2000+. I can't upgrade since you can't get better subscription with Paypal and I refuse to use a credit card. I am finding Graboid a pain now and I am looking elsewhere until Graboid improves service or something better comes along.

not illegal?

ever heard of the piratebay? that doesnt even host anything at all and its illegal.

it's called facilitation of copyright infringement.

if you open the program thats not illegal, if you then download a copyrighted work, thats illegal - certainly if you live in the us or uk.

just some scammers making money out of people who arent smart enough to spend 5 mins to learn to use usenet and better indexers like merlins portal or tvnzbs.org. what is annoying is that they monetise copyrighted works that they didnt pay for in the first place and are available free at better speeds all over the net.
