I think Google have done all web designers a big favour here, as those with access to other web sites with links on that point to their own site can easily add the rel=”dofollow” tag to those pages. No more PageRank eh, interesting..

Just a question – why do you say “Google are…”?

The first time I thought it was a typo – the second time I thought a trend. I know “Data are…” but, “Google are…”?

It’s not, Ford are… or Microsoft are… or General Electric are…

I are curious.

Maybe I’m just a new reader and missed an old article somewhere.

Re nofollow dofollow – I can’t see that happening – every website in the net would need to be updated!! – half the best ones would disappear and the spammers would dive right in the next morning and make things even worse – my 2 cents

You forgot the other obviously Google rumors such as

“Page Rank” is going to be renamed “Turkey Value”.
Backlinks are now going to be used against you.
Google will 301 to Yahoo search results.

My rumors make about as much sense as yours.
