There really (must be) is more than meets the eye. Google’s PR drops are just not for selling links. The way things were going, most bloggers would have had PR10 by the next two updates. Google just wouldn’t allow this.

I see many sites with PR5 has dropped to PR4, I think this has to do with the growth of internet.

Think about it for a second, the internet is expanding fast, PageRank meaning the important of a web site in the “internet”, if the back link is not keeping up with the growth rate, I think many web site will still drop their link in the near future…

Yes, I perfectly agree with you. I think that the algo has been changed in some ways, and I also see it like you do: I am glad that it did. We will have to investigate and let our experiences say what are those changes. Nice post, I will be visiting your blog more often, and I invite you to do the same with mine. Change of experiences is always good and even though my blog is a very new one at the moment, it will grow .

I got a PR4 today and I am quite happy with it until I read your post. The max is 4, this means that to get 5 is really difficult.

My blog is a new blog so I don’t expect it to drop back to N/A again. Anyway, I still don’t see the importance of Page Rank though since I don’t sell any text links.
