Week 2: The Plan

Stumble it!This is week 2 summary of Make Money Online case study.
Making a plan for your Online business is a must. So I would like to share with you my plan for this project. Note, that this plan can be changed with the times comes so check them regularly.
Getting Traffic
As my limit budget on this case study is for $100 and already spent 80% of it in Domain name and Hosting in week 1. My goal to get traffic will be Social Networking as it is free, this is my first step before getting ranked very well in search engines. My major social networking will be Digg and Stumbleupon.
Building Backlinks
My main point to get sales on this projectl will be from search engines. So to get high rankings I should build my backlinks slowly. My plan is to submit into directories, articles portals, blog comments and Social networking. For natural links I should make every week a unique article about tips on how to shop online or something similar to get backlinks from other bloggers.
Search engine optimization
While I will write some reviews and articles I will focuss on linking between my post so I can be ranking on the anchor texts that I like. Also as mentioned on Week 1, I will apply all the possible seo techniques to my blog from the beggining (already did some of them). Also I will not forget to make the affiliate links as “nofollow” so I can get more juice for my on site linking.
Re-Investing
For sure will be re-investing my earned money to this project, some of my re-investing plans will be advertising in Adwords and some tools that I will need for keyword research (I can’t do it now because the rule is that I can’t spend more than $100, so I will use the free ones).
Keyword Research
With a limited budget I will find some free tools for my keyword research.
Traffic analyser
I am a fan to analyse my traffic and can’t buy any third-party software so will be using the free ones, my #1 will be Google Analytics and see if I have the same luck as Googlelady.com to have a free membership to Mybloglog statistics (I love it).
Time
Will spend at least 1 hour working on this project daily, to save time doing research I will be using timestamp tool to make articles for one week so I have time to improve my new blog in other ways.
Monetizing my Blog
I will try all ways to make money online with this project, affiliate programs, Amazon Associates, contextual advertising and many more.

This has been fun to follow and thanks for documenting your progress. I do have one question and I wonder if it will ever be an issue. Are you concerned about using the trademark “Amazon”? I would hate to see a bunch of effort go into building a site and then the heavy-weights try to lean on you for the domain after you have made millions.. just a thought - keep up the great blog!

Hey Rick,
I am really not an expert about those issues but I am sure I can make a research and know more about it. But when registering the domain name didn’t thought about it just checked some other sites and domain names and it seems that many use them. Let’s see what will happen and hope this will not be a trademark issue.
