If you are following how to make money online in 3 months. I created this follow-up case study with a new domain and promoting the hardest affiliate program over the internet (That is most of webmaster say). I had to make this announcement as the first sale in my case study, each week I will be making a summary of what I did or what will do. But I can’t wait to announce the first sale which is the most important sale (to me).

I started this case study in October 24, 2007 and made my first sale after 10 days since I started.. Making a case study so difficult with limit budget, limit time and what most of webmasters say: The worst affiliate program is amazon.

Ok, let me clear something out, Amazon will show you how many orders you have been made but will not show you how much you earned from those products till they ship it to the buyer. Yesterday I saw that there were 2 sales but there were no earnings, so I waited till today. They show just 1 earning of those 2 sales. Here is the screenshot of the earnings, right now I got $16.90 in one sale of pure profits and going up to my goals :D

Where that sale come from?

Amazon Wall is not ranked well in any keyword or any article. So how this sale came from? As I mentioned before I can’t spend more than $100 so if you check the week 1 summary you already know how the statistics are going. To make this story short, I will show the statistics from November 2 when the order was placed and help me to know or guess from where it came from:

The sale from amazon was placed in November 2, 2007.

and the earnings showed today in my Amazon account. So the sale came from the traffic that I got from November 2, 2007. As I can’t pay for any other third party statistics. I use MyBloglog statistics and Google Analytics which are free.

November 2, 2007 statistics from MyBloglog:

The screenshot is too big so you can check it directly here.

Statistics:

StumbleUpon: 181 Visits
Digg: 4 Visits
Googlelady.com: 2 Visits
Google with the keyword Amazon Wall: 2 visits

I am 99.9% sure that the sale didn’t come from Googlelady.com because the googlelady’s readers are just checking the case study website and follow it. Week 2 will be published on November 11 and will talk about the plan of this project. Stay tunned.

I had my doubts, I didn’t think you could pull it off, and you did! Congrats! I have been using amazon affiliates and haven’t drummed up one sale yet :( , I hope that your blog will help me somehow.

Congratulations! I can’t wait for your follow up update in a week’s time. You still got $35 left from the original budget and it would be interesting to know how you spend it to maximise conversion.

Sir Jorge, I will try to write everything from the start to the end. From the first sale my hopes are very high :)

Athmane; I will also mention it, but after I post everything from zero, I will write in one week where I will invest the money still not sure but need to study and analyze it more carefully as the budget is limited I don’t want to waste it.

    Jalaj; thanks a lot!

Making the money, indeed is great! Really your first sale makes you work more and more on this project.

A Quick Note: It seems that some googlelady’s readers are against to succeed with Amazonwall. Someone have notified Digg that Amazonwall is spam which is not. I just submited one story from amazonwall and it seems that they got many complaints and have banned amazonwall.com from there :(

It’s good to see some one made sales from Amazon. I have yet to make one, but I do well with other affiliate programs.

  10. GoogleLady said:

Stephan, I will try to put everything here but I am sure when amazonwall ranks well on search engines the sales will be up. The problem is that the site is new and I should work more on articles. You know, the problem is that the niche is too difficult to build backlinks and good articles (this is not my niche) but this project is to show that with efforts anyone can do it.
