MyBlogLog Contest
November 8, 2007
MyBlogLog has announced a new contest which is the following:
The Official Rules are the last word on the contest, so please read them. But here are the highlights. We’re looking for vibrant, rapid-growing communities – that benefits you and us. As such, in this contest, community owners will compete against each other to see who can grow their community the most between November 8 – 30.
This page will display the top finalists in the days leading up to the winner. Stay tuned to see how your community is faring, but remember that all results are UNOFFICIAL until the winner is verified by the judges. The winner will be announced from the floor of PUBCon 2007 in Las Vegas on December 5, and will also be announced on our blog. You can grab the blog’s feed here or sign up for email updates at the blog.
1. The promotion is open to U.S. residents who are 16 or older, and is void where prohibited by law. You can register any time during the period that the contest is open. If you register after the contest starts, your growth will still be measured from the first day of the contest to the last day.
2. The full eligibility requirements are in the Official Rules. In particular, though, no sponsors or employees of sponsors, including Yahoo!, are eligible to win. If you’re ineligible, you’re welcome to participate for fun (i.e. to see how your community ranks against others in the contest).
3. Only valid joins will be counted. If any entrant is found creating multiple accounts in order to inflate their sign-ups, or in any way attempting to game the system, that entrant will be disqualified from the contest.
Read the whole contest here.
As this contest is for US residents only, I am not able to win or at least “hopes” to win this contest but I will do it for fun and see if I can grow my community. If anyone wants to join Googlelady’s community please click here.

Thanks for the heads up. I will definitely enter this contest. Besides the prize, there is the benefit of setting up a goal for myself to grow my blog readership. It should be a good challenge.

I hate these US only contests, it’s supposed to be a global internet?

Making the Money, yes unfortunetly is just for US residents but take it as something fun

I’m not too surprised with the “US only contestants” rule. It seems like the way Yahoo likes to do business. Just look at the YPN program. I think that they completely missed the ball.

For mybloglog(yahoo) to make this contest for u.s. residents only is a slap in The face to all the non u.s. bloggers that have helped them build MBL.MBL is a global community with a great deal of non u.s. blogs in the program.I am an avid user of MBL,but I say everyone should boycott their contest under these rules.
Shame on you MBL.
