With the new adword updates I mentioned in one of my articles that some adsense publishers will earn a lot more if their sites can attract a lot of adwords advertisers. If you have a site with adsense and you noticed that there are a climb up on earnings after those 2 updates. You may find that adwords advertisers are making a war bidding for your content. This Google adsense tip will work only if you are in this position.

Let’s put an example; you have a 300×250 adsense adblock in your site and you have 2 adwords advertisers making a war bidding to be placed at the top of your AD. This Adblock will give the opportunity to advertise 4 Spots that means that you adwords advertiser should at least bid for the spot 4 to be showed in your page. So let’s make that the spot 4 is value of $0.1 per click and the spot 1 is value $0.2 per click.

If I am an adwords advertiser and wants to advertise in your site because your site has a good conversion, I will be testing for the spot 4 and pay $0.10 per click. But here is the tip…

If you have an adblock that only has 2 spots (200×200) or even 1 spot (180×150) what do you think I will be doing here? I have to make a war and start to bid $0.20 to get in your only spot then my competitor will increase his bid to $0.25 and then I will be doing the same till I make my limit per click. So if you have one spot available and you have adwords advertiser interesting to advertise in your site you may find that even showing one AD/Link with adsense it will be worth than showing many ads.

With 1 Spot available and high quality site you are making the adwords advertiser more difficult to get into yout “Hot Spot” then they will have to pay even 10x with the 4 spots adblock. Try it and let me know if your earnings per click have increased.
