Week 4: Affiliate Marketing Free Keyword Research Tools
November 21, 2007
This is week 4 summary of Make Money Online in 3 Months case study.
As I mentioned in my Plan that I will build backlinks so I can get higher ranks mainly on Google but to start making this step I have to know more about the keywords on the companies niche that I am promoting. With a limited budget I can’t purchase any of the keywords tools outhere like Worldtracker so I have to make a research to find the best free keywords tools and here is my list:
- Free Worldtracker Keyword Here is the “free” tool version of worldtracker that found that it will be usefull to see how many searches a keyword has per month and other related keywords. The only difference between the free one and the membership one is that you will have a bigger list of long-tail keywords. But that can be fixed if you first search for the wider one which is “Amazon” and then take one by one from the result and see if there is anything “new”.
- Google Keywords Tools: I have mentioned on my previous articles about Google keywords tools, and for sure it will help to estimate some keywords traffic and getting more keywords ideas like the overture one. Both Google Keywords will help me, and for sure is free!
- Overture: I guess everyone knows about this free tool by overture (Now Yahoo!). No need for an explanation here.
- Seobook Keyword Research Tool: This is another keyword tool that can’t be missed. The difference is that you can search by countries and not only US, this feature will not be usefull for this project because I am focussing all my audience for US residents only. It also includes a brief explanation on how to use this free keyword tool (read it is well explained).
- Synonyms Keyword Tool: To make your list bigger is a good idea to find synonyms for your main keywords, many affiliate marketers ignores this great tool but I will not for sure! thesaurus is the best one that I have found. If you have more suggestions let me know.
- Dictonary Keyword Tool: By reading through all of the approved definitions of a keyword you will almost always discover additional keywords to further expand and grow your list. I have noticed that both a great thesaurus and dictionary are instrumental tools in boosting your creativity by helping you to find new niche segments and keywords that you might have otherwise missed. This Dictonary is a good one.
- BrainStorm More keywords: Rushmore’s Free Keyword Brainstorming Tool will help you expand your keyword list in record time. Simply type any keyword you would like to research and it will show more keywords related to that keyword. Keyword brainstorming should be every keyword researcher’s first step. This tool is intended to make that process as easy and fast as possible.
Next week will be a list of directories and search engines to submit sites for free and the next coming weeks I will post how I did my research for the keywords.
