I want to announce My first Big Amazon sale in this Case study that I am running on how to make money online. On November 4, 2007 I announced my first sale which was in comission of $16.90. But this is the first time that I have sold a big product in Amazon which gave me $130.60 in comission! the product that I sold was a Samsung plasma which cost $3,264.99 :D

amazon big sale

I checked the available free tracking softwares from MyBloglog (not premium) and Google Analytics it shows me that I am getting traffic only from Digg, Stumbleupon, del.icio.us and Direct traffic. Then I started to see if I can find more than this.

While I was searching on Google to see if there is something. I found that Amazon Wall is indexed on Google and Yahoo but it seems that I am not ranked well in “Amazon Wall”, “AmazonWall” and “Amazonwall.com” so it takes time.

Then I tried to search other related keywords terms with Amazon and what titles I wrote in Amazonwall. I found that using “Amazon Coupon Codes” in Google in the first 10 results exactly #10 is listed the Digg story that I have submited:

amazonwall google

It seems that many people are finding amazonwall.com because of the story in Digg that I submitted. These kind of results give me some new ideas and learned new things:

  • If your site/blog has no rank in Google or any other search engine yet, you can use networking sites to help users find your site through these type of sites that has higher rankings
  • New ideas to find keywords that sell (In week 4 will post some of the free keywords available) and will share the results in the coming weeks.
  • Selling big products in Amazon (like Plasma’s and other electronics) is really worth more than other affiliate program. The only affiliate program that pay you that amount of commision per sale is in the hosting industry and some dating affiliate programs.
  • Amazon Affiliate program is worth if you find how to market it. I will try my best to find the gold mines in this affiliate program.

Now the I am in profits already after 22 days of this case study being up! Now, I want to imagine how many sales I will make if I rank well in the major search engines? I know it will be difficult because there are many big companies at the top but it not impossible! That’s why Networking sites are WORTH (for those smaller sites)!

By the way check the #1 contest that I am running to win a $100 adword voucher. I am in the process of keyword research and see if it is worth advertising amazon in google adwords (of course using one $100 Adwords voucher).

Hey GLady, you always amaze me! I mean it’s so simple yet so effective.

By the way, why don’t you use a server-side stats generator like AwStats? You’d get lot more infos than with Google Analytics or MyBlogLog, no?

Let me know if I can help you set this up.

Hey Stephane telling you the truth this big sale makes me believe that amazon is not only worth to get few hundred dollars but starting to believe that is better than other affiliate networks like neverblueads.

In my account I don’t have awstat is there a posibility to install it without having access to the root server? Becuase this is a share hosting account. By the way, received your offline messages and let’s see if we can talk ;)
