CommissionJunction Is Reporting Delayed or Behind?
November 26, 2007
I checked my personal Comission Juction account and my other partnership Commission Juction accounts and it seems something really fishy. Both accounts have $0 commission on sale for the day of 25th November, 2007. But this started to happen since “Black Friday” when it should be one of the best days in commissions. I have called CJ to see if there is a problem on tracking or what is going on, but they are “out” because of holiday seasons.
On 24th November, 2007. When you tried to login to Commission Juction there were a “500 Servlet Exception error” which is the first time I got this error from any website. Then when this was fixed the commission sales was down for 90%. I thought that the commissions will be added when the problem is fixed totally. Till now, on 24th november the same commissions and zero commissions on sales for 25th November.
I have never saw a zero commissions since I have started in this business (6 years ago) and then I started to worried because Commission Juction for me “was” the best affiliate network that I had. In the past months I have been contacted by many “Affiliate networks” even decided to go with an affiliate network with partnership of eTalk Network and believe me, very but very dissapointed about it no sales after 1 month (also the first time that happened to me as an affiliate marketer).
So let’s see, this year for affiliate programs have been very dissapointed. May be this is happening because I am an international publisher? May be affiliate programs nowadays, have been so greedy that wants some bucks from their international publishers? Is this the end of International publishers/ Affiliate marketers?
So started to find something that tells me that this problem is not only from me, I have found some members talking about it:
I see clicks, but little or nothing else where there should be something. I can get just fine to CJ.
I am in the same boat, many clicks but little commissions (comparing to my outstanding daily commissions)
I’m getting that “500 Servlet Exception” error again and have not posted a commission since the first time receiving this error 2 days ago. I can believe that no commissions were generated on Thursday (Thanksgiving) but things should have rebounded somewhat on Friday and I’ve got nothing going on for today yet either.
nothing since early AM before I started getting the 500 error yesterday. I am very surprised that no sales came in.
Its looks like many sales got lost during those 2 days of cj 500 Servlet Exception error, it is clear that Merchants could not post transactions During this time.
I have very nice transactions when cj site was o.k and 0 transactions when cj site was down. it is sad that cj was down during black friday high time and my sales are way down.
Is reporting delayed or behind, eh? If I were seriously promoting CJ merchants I would be a lot more concerned about the integrity of the tracking system. But, don’t worry, they say everything is tracking OK. It’s just the rest of the system seems to have problems. Somehow (holiday miracle, perhaps?) they are able to keep the “problems” limited to only the login and reporting platforms.
Sorry for the cynicism.
I’m expecting a lot of old sales to show up tomorrow after cj’s ‘holiday’ is over.
If not I have to stop all ppc and pull merchants off the front page, can’t afford to lose money…
Me too, I am “hoping” that all this is delayed in tracking because of the Holiday season. But it should not be like this. This is when CJ System have to work 99.9% (almost perfect) and is on the contrary. How many affiliate marketers lost a lot of money in CJ?
I think they would have shown up by now (unfortunately), especially since sales for today and yesterday have already posted.
yes, that’s right but it seems that is not “Accurate”.
Anyone of you guys out there have the same problem as me and those CJ Publishers? Can you post where are you from and what kind of problems you have?

Maybe I should actually give CJ a try. I signed up about 2 days ago, but I haven’t gotten the time to check it out.
