I agree that the linking text is crucial in a good SEO plan. So many newbie webmasters just go for links and ignore the actual anchor text used. Thanks for the info.

While I do agree that SEO should never be neglected and should have its well-deserved role in every business model, it's also recommended that you don't put all of your eggs in one basket as far as traffic is concerned on the one hand, and that you don't go over-board with your SEO efforts on the other.

This is a very helpful article. I agree with your idea here. Internal linking is still part of the techniques or process to consider when optimizing your website. And it would be better if you do it with the right keywords or anchor text. Keep up the good blog.

Internal linking can be helpful, especially for getting highly ranked for long tail keywords. I've had success using this technique in multiple niches.

Anchor text is important wherever a link to your site is placed. This includes blog posts and links made in comments on social media sites - basically, anywhere you're including a link back to your site.

When linking from other sites, be sure to create a mix of domain root links and deeper content page links. And you'll want to use anchor text that will match the content on pages within your site.

For example, if you operate a site about dogs, you might have an external link to the domain root that uses the anchor text "dogs." You might have another external link to a content page within your site with the anchor text "dog training" or "dog breeding." This text should match the content of that specific page, and it should be something that ties in with the theme of the site. More advanced search engine algorithms will pick up on these associations.

Not only that, you will want to vary the anchor text you use so that it looks more natural. So, in this example, you would want to avoid always using "dog" as your anchor text each time you create an external link to your domain root.

In the past you would benefit from any links into your site, but algorithms are becoming more advanced. Paid links are being punished, value obtained from links through article directories is being diminished, and links from forums are often ignored. It's worth the extra effort to make sure you use anchor text that represents what your site is about. Even if it doesn't matter too much today, chances are it will be important in the future.

If your goal is to make money online, you'll want to be sure to apply this strategy in all of your linking efforts. SEO strategies are just a few of the many important concepts to understand when build a profitable online presence.

I agree that a lot of webmasters seem to ignore the importance of internal linking and even when they don't, they neglect anchor text. Whenever you are publishing a new article and linking to an old one is relevant, go for it, internal linking can and will make a difference as far as SEO is concerned.
