Back From Vacations and some news!
February 1, 2008
I just came from my vacation and I want to tell you that this vacation was the best one in my life. It was one month of vacation out of this online business. Just took my computer once to restart the server which was down for few minutes. You may ask how the site was updated every 2 days when I was not even on my laptop, thanks to timestamp tool in wordpress. After I came and sat down in my home office, started to check emails and answer some emails. But got a shocking news: Microsoft bids $45 billion for Yahoo. Which you can check here the full news.
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Microsoft Corp. made an unsolicited $44.6 billion cash and stock bid for Yahoo on Friday, a deal that could shake up the competitive and lucrative market for online advertising.
Do you think that the war between the giants (Google vs MSN) is going to the next level? This year will be very interesting…
In Another note, I received an email fron Caroline Middlebrook asking me to share with you her first e-book about “How to Develop
Money-Making Niche Sites with WordPress” which you can download it here for free. I have read most of it and I found it very interesting because she explained from Zero on how to create a niche website with wordpress. Here is the table of content:
Chapter 1: Getting and Installing WordPress
Chapter 2: Basic WordPress Administration. 10
Chapter 3: Installing a New Theme. 13
Chapter 4: Setting up Adsense On Your Site. 16
Chapter 5: WordPress Plugins. 20
Chapter 6: Creating Your Site Content
Chapter 7: Final Thoughts
Appendix 1: Uploading Using FTP.. 33
Appendix 2: External Resources
If you are following my case study this e-book will be very helpfull for those readers that don’t know anything about how to install wordpress itself, changing themes and installing plugins. Thanks Caroline for this great e-book!
I will continue to post in the next weeks and finish the case study which have received many positive testimonials telling me that the case study have been a major push to start their online business.

Great to see you had a wonderful vacation, and nice to have you back with us.
I really do not think the microsoft-yahoo merger will have much effect on search results since most use google over msn,and yahoo both.
As far as monetary value the race could be on with microsoft taking a commanding lead by years end.

Thanks Steven! I would like to wait and see if first Yahoo! will accept the offer, and second if they accept the offer how Microsoft will use Yahoo! for their own benefit.
