Week 9: Building Backlinks Strategy

Everyone knows that having your top keywords ranking very well in Search Engines mainly in the 3 biggest ones: MSN, Google & Yahoo! it will bring a lot of customers for free. For this reason, backlinks are one of the most important factor to achieve this goal.
The Problem with Coupon Codes Mall Dot Com
The main problem to build backlinks with Coupon Codes Mall is that the niche is very saturated and there are thousands of authority sites which have been in this business for over 10 years. They have manipulated the industry with the top keywords like “Coupon Codes” and some others. Now building backlinks it will be more difficult because those authority sites are very rare to give a backlink even response to a link exchange email.
This niche is very different from other niches because they get exclusive coupons, even if you have an exclusive coupon they will not link to your site because all of us are here to make money from this kind of sites. When they started Google was not strictly and did not penalized sites for manipulating the search engine with backlinks. But now is very difficult for a new site to get higher ranks without “Natural links”. So I stopped and asked myself is possible to build natural backlinks to CouponCodesMall? I will tell you, it will be very but very difficult. Is not an easy stuff, but as I mentioned since the biggining this is a long term project so I am not in a hurry, I will be very patient building backlinks and applying my marketing plans.
Since I encounter this problem, I have decided to build backlinks very slowly and test everything so I can get some backlinks from those authority sites. Before continue to show you my strategy I will not recommend people to use this niche. I will recommend you to focuss in more specific niches so it will be easier for you.
The Strategy
- Top Commentator Strategy: This strategy will be one of my most important strategy building backlinks. But here we go with another problem, there are not many blogs in my niche most of them use special third-party softwares or softwares that these companies created so it can be automatically. My strategy here is to search for as many blogs as I can who has top commentator which will be very difficult, because most of them don’t use it. So my plan is to join other niche blogs and link to posts that is related, for example if a blog is about Domains I will link to coupons that offer domains for cheap. - Directory: This strategy most webmasters use it. Building backlinks submitting to directories. But this time with the money earned I will submit to “trusted directories” like Yahoo! Which cost like $250 USD per year. Also my wishlist is Best of The Web directory which in the Google eyes is a trusted one. In Week 5 of this case study I have wrote a full guide about submitting in directories, read it.
- Text Link Ads: I will not recommend to any of you. But in my situation is different and I will test out this method. My strategy here is to buy 4 links every month and renew it till I see some results. Read Still Worth Investing In TextLinkAds? to get a better idea about this strategy.
- Getting Reviews: Getting reviews will get many backlinks, but also getting known my site and the name of the site which is viral marketing. One of my list is Reviewme but also will try to find a way to get reviews in another way from other bloggers may be with article marketing.
- Articles: Will write or hire someone to write articles and submit it to many articles directories also one of my backlink strategy will be Squidoo

What keywords are you focusing on for your anchor text?

I’m looking forward to following this series as you move forward.
I am in the process of building a site in a different niche, and most of the strategies you will be discussing will apply to my efforts as well.
Coupons Codes Mall definitely runs tangent to the niche I am targeting, so I’ll give you backlink when I get to that point.

@Fred, there are many keywords that I am focusing on Anchor texts because if I focuss in one keyword it will be seen as spam.
