Googlelady Weekly Diggest February 17 – 2008
February 17, 2008
This week was the worst week till now to me and my partners. The issues of hosting/server problems still going on but this can happen we as online business have to be very patient, nothing in this world can be so easy. Business is Business.
This Week in Googlelady weekly digest I found something interting about the Ongoing “bid war” on Yahoo.
Yahoo exploring alliance with News Corp.
Yahoo Inc. is discussing a possible partnership with News Corp. in its latest effort to repel Microsoft Corp. or prod its unsolicited suitor into raising its current takeover bid, according to a person familiar with the talks.
The specifics of the joint venture still hadn’t been worked out, said the person who didn’t want to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter.

I really don’t think that News Corp. can compete with the bidding of Microsoft. But I think Yahoo! is just wasting sometime.
DNS Resolution Path Corruption Helps Phishing Scams
Users are at risk from a loophole in the the Domain Name System (DNS) that could make financial scams undetectable, according to a study by researchers from Georgia Tech and Google.
The attack they describe, called “DNS resolution path corruption”, could be carried out by a simple piece of code implanted via a malicious website or email attachment, the study said. The code would change a file in the Windows registry settings, telling the PC to use the malicious server for all DNS information.

Affiliate Yes… Super Affiliate No
Shoemoney wrote an interesting post about Affiliates and “Super Affiliates”. I agree with him saying that a super affiliate will be the person who earns 1 Million/Month in Profits (Check In Profits). Also he mentioned that if you think that those “super affiliate” will be posting their secrets, defitively, NO. He said that he knows someone that makes 3.5 Million/Per Month in profits, now let us guess who is this “Super Affiliate”? You can check his Blog Post: Affiliate Yes… Super Affiliate No
Why Do Blogs Post Monthly Earnings?
This time Zac Johnson, made an interesting post about why blogs post Monthly Earnings, in a few words I will tell you why. Because of Fame. If Blog readers see that their favorite bloggers makes $XXXXX per month is because he knows what he is doing, I would like to post monthly income for Googlelady but the only thing that stops me is because Googlelady is part of eTalk Network and showing the earnings of this blog should be approved by all people working in the network. That’s one of the reason, from now on I will post some “Affiliate Marketers” (and sometimes bloggers) that are succeeding in this business as an inspiration. Direct Linking vs. Your Own Domain & Landing Pages
I would like to share with you this article on RevenueWire. Read the article Direct Linking vs Your Own Domain & Landing Pages
Although some would suggest that direct linking doesn’t work with PPC any longer, I would argue there still is a place for it. If you’re just tasting a niche to see if how it converts, then using ascales.jpg direct merchant link across a fairly broad set of keywords isn’t a half-bad way to survey the landscape….
