Different Ranking When Using Capital Letters
April 10, 2008
Do you thought about this? Let me start with how I used my logical mind to apply this and get some higher rankings than most of you don’t. When I was back in College (Long agooooooo) they tought me to start with a capital letter on each new paragraph or after a dot. Most of the colleges teach their students to do that, because it is more estetic (sorry if this word is not in english but I am thinking as my first language Spanish).
Then when I first started to make sites and then blogs, I kept what I have learned in college, till when Google Adwords came to my life. It is proved that if you use Capital Letters on your AD you will have a bigger CTR. If you don’t know about it is because you didn’t read 31 Killer Writing AdWords Ads Tips or downloaded my free ebook about Adwords tips.
Anyways, since this is applied in Adwords, I was almost sure that this is also applied in their Algorithm Search. After so many research and test from here, I can prove that this is totally true! Why? If you follow what Google wants: “Relevancy”, which is people trying to find something in Google and they (big g) wants to be relevant to their results. But how people eyes works? If you take the example on Google Adwords Ad’s it also works on any search engine result. If they find Capital Letters (first letter capital) the searchers (users) will see it automatically and will be more appealing to their eyes (Reading the title with capital).
If you check out with some competetives words like “Webhosting” you will notice the first letter as a capital letter. Why do you think they do that?
Hope this little tip can help your rankings. If you want to learn more about SEO check out the Search Engine Optimization category.

Hmmm interesting.
Do you think that a fully capitalized keyword is more important than only its first letter?
