Hi - thanks for this - I contacted them yesterday because of your post, as I saw they did price matching on their website, and we are looking to switch from the nightmare that is 1&1. They replied, and said “No, we do not do any price matching”. When I pointed out that their website said they did, they said “Oh yes we do, BUT our plans can not be compared to 1&1″. They were not really keen to get a new customer, so we have dropped them for now. They need to decide IF they do price matching or not, an if they want new customers. Disappointing!

Alex, if you want to move from 1&1 go for Hostgator or webhostingpad which I have been tested before, IMhosted still didn’t test them and have read bad reviews about them but before I write a review I like to test them out. In case you are interested to read my review about webhostingpad:
