The Last time I posted about a rumor that said that Google Rumors: Google PageRank To Be Reset and many other points. Something happened “similar” to those rumors. Google started to decrease the pagerank of the blogs, some of them got penalized because using X programs that pays blogger to post reviews/links.

Now this time, the rumors are coming from the same webmasters and some of them in places like forums that Google have some people there to post announcements and sometimes answer some questions for Google services. Everything started when Wordpress people announced their new version 2.5 and after few days they announced again that there is a new version of the Blog Platform and bloggers should upgrade ASAP.

The Search Engines detect an unusual number of hacked WP platforms. The number is rising and has now become a concern. Let’s just filter out that entire platform until those users update. Or in Google’s case, “This gives us reason to take that competing platform out of the SERPs.”

Another issue of Wordpress Blogs is that there are more Spam Blogs than legit blogs and they are filling the search engines with just “Crap” results. Check this out:

The search engines probably are ready to rank WP sites down. Look at all the automated spam/splog tools for it. Technorati has quit indexing vulnerable WP versions and hacked sites.

Here is a suggestion for Wordpress Team:

Wordpress needs to mature in a lot of ways. A big one is porting patches to older versions. It’s insane to combine new features and versions with security patches and leave older installs to the wolves.

What do you think about This? Do you think that Google will drop wordpress blogs from their search engine index? Or may be devaluate the “Importance” of the site because they use wordpress?

I don’t see it happening… Many sites can be hacked - wordpress or not. If google will remove every hackable site or platform from their database - there won’t be any sites left :)

    All locks have their keys…

If Google does that, they will lose a huge chunk of people that use their search engine to look for blogs. If I know Google does not search for blogs extensively, I will use dogpile if I am a blogger. Besides there are more than 3 million wordpress.com blogs and many more self hosted. Google had better stay calm and let the whole blogosphere settle. Usually, the ranks of splogs should be lower if Google indexes in time. Also Google should advance its search results to include page age. Thus if the spiders get duplicate content, the older content stays on top.

False. Google cannot detect all WordPress blogs. After all, WordPress is a CMS and unless your template is telling Google you’re using WordPress they will have no idea it’s WordPress in the first place that’s running it.

I have to agree with Ran also.
