Google is not always Right!
July 14, 2008
I have been tracking and comparing search engines results and see what are the results that they are giving on one of my new projects on how to make money online in 3 months:
In Google the keyword: “amazon.com coupon code GPS” it shows my site with the following link:

If you see here there is nothing to do with amazon.com, the link that is showing is about another retailer and not amazon. But if you check something similar in yahoo: “amazon coupon code camera” it will show something that is related:
If you see here, Yahoo gives a more targeted result this time than Google. Google have been well known to give the best result but I think that this is just more “fame” than anything else. This time Yahoo! wins here. What do you think about it?

Wow, Google shouldn’t make this mistake. Thanks for telling this. I bet almost all google user don’t know about it. By the way, not everyone will do searching by using both search engine. So the mistaken always ignored.

GLady,
I had the same problem with google when I first submited my site to google… It showed different ads and the problem finally got fixed in time when the bots recognized the problem.

It’s really easy to rank with Yahoo and yeah it gave me more relevant results on some occasions.
But as for Yahoo Search Marketing, that’s another story…

Just proves that Google is not the be all and end all of the internet as it would like people to believe.

I’ve been using Yahoo through something called My HomePages Friends (being paid to search) for a couple of months and I can hand on heart say that the results with Yahoo are no less relevant than Google’s.

I noticed this about a year or so ago… yahoo and msn really have caught up and even surpassed google in my experience. Years ago, google WAS a lot better – but not anymore. They are pretty much coasting on their reputation now.
